Troughs of Liquid Grace

Troughs of Liquid Grace

Troughs of Liquid Grace

Last year a truth that became very precious and important to me was Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

I seemed to be regularly in situations where I’d done all that I knew to do and things seemed to either not change or actually got worse; so over and over I came to the “Throne of Grace.”

One morning as I was praying, it seemed like I had an inner vision of troughs suddenly extending out from His Throne and a steady stream of what appeared to be liquid grace was splashing all over my head and face.  I immediately had a sense of being lighter in spirit—lifted up.  Whenever circumstances would try to bring pressure on me again, I would envision myself being covered with Grace from the Throne of Grace.  The worst of the situations changed in a week and has maintained its victory!

Angels In Our Midst

Angels In Our Midst

April 3, 2017 in Blog

A few years ago I taught a six week series on all that the Bible says about angels. They are mentioned almost 300 times and appear from Genesis to Revelation. They appear 104 times to various people in Bible days. We don’t think it’s strange that they appeared to Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, David, Elijah, Elisha, Daniel, Joseph, Mary, Peter, John, Philip, Cornelius, Paul, and twice to Jesus (strengthening Him in both cases.) If Jesus needed their help, how much more do all of us! So, why should we think it’s weird if angels appear to people now? Also, I find it strange that people are so demon conscious , talking about them so much, and then so unaware of God’s angels that they rarely mention them. It’s time for that to change.

Controversial

Controversial

December 7, 2015 in Blog

Controversial is defined as,”giving rise to public disagreement; likely to produce controversy.”

I was sitting last month in a cafe in Indiana with my missionary friend, David Hogan, when he said to our host pastors,”I’m controversial, you know.”
That made me chuckle and I immediately thought of what my British mentor, Arthur Burt, used to tell me about healing evangelist Smith Wigglesworth. Arthur had lived with Smith at one time and said that people either loved Smith or hated him. To most people, he was a strange dichotomy of a man. He could be rough and aggressive one moment, then the next he could weep and sob as he held a sick baby in his arms. In one meeting, a couple with a crippled toddler came forward and set their little boy on the stage for prayer. Smith stepped back, then came forward and booted the boy off the stage. When the boy landed, he hit the ground walking-completely healed! Arthur said,”I saw it with my own eyes, Brother Steve.” When he operated in ways like this, some in the crowd would yell out at him,”You brute!”

Scotland? Aren’t You A Little Late?

Scotland? Aren’t You A Little Late?

August 13, 2015 in Blog

As I write this we are preparing to send a team of seven to the capital of Scotland, which is the old city of Edinburgh. This team will join a Scottish man and an English lady already there who will make up the nucleus for our new Confirming The Word Bible Training Centre. We invite all Christians 18 and older to come join our school for a saturated time of equipping in the Word and an increase in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our purpose and reason for being there is to help fan the flames of revival in Scotland once again and to be a help and support to the local churches. If you’re interested in our new school–go to www.ctwscotland.uk

You’re Called To Boulder? Why?

You’re Called To Boulder? Why?

June 11, 2015 in Blog

When I left Bible School in 1979 and told people I was called to start a new church in Boulder, Colorado, more than one person said,’You’re going to that God-Forsaken place?” Others just gave me a look that silently said,”Oh, do I feel sorry for you!”
